At Lumina, we are honored to be part of the DeGroote family’s journey. Ellie DeGroote, a local hero from Annapolis, has been deeply involved in the fight against blood cancer after her mother, Krista, was diagnosed with Stage 2 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Krista’s brave battle, which included months of grueling treatments, culminated in her ringing the bell to mark the end of chemotherapy, and today, she celebrates five years of health. This personal connection to the cause drives our passion to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in their mission to create a world without blood cancers.
Through Ellie’s participation in the Visionaries of the Year campaign, we stand together with the DeGroote family, helping raise awareness, funds, and support for blood cancer patients everywhere. Together, we are helping fuel groundbreaking research, providing vital resources for patients and their families, and advocating for change.
